Precision Homing with Compax3

There are many ways to implement a homing routing which rely on home sensors and incremental encoders. Using the sensor alone can result in subtle position errors. When precision is required, these errors are unacceptable. One way to combat this is with the Compax3 and Z pulse homing.

At the machine zero configuration screen, there is a homing mode wizard. Once there, check the box for home switch and Z channel index pulse. Once downloaded to the Compax3, all moves home will have the precision of a multi-turn absolute encoder with just an incremental encoder.
